Hundreds of children who are passionate about football on climate change issues and the protection of the environment, but also to follow them in their school curriculum and to help the most vulnerable to have the courage, the strength and the means necessary to go to school and flourish.

EDUBALL PROGRAM

Soccer , the so-called King's sport, has a  good place in the hearts of children everywhere on the African continent and many of them dreams of becoming a star of the round ball, from one day to the next, and strives every day to see their dreams come to fruition even though , only a tiny part of them succeed in soccer.

If soccer has been able to conquer children and many of them do not take off their school uniform before returning to the playgrounds, it is because this sport does not require too much financial investment for parents of young practitioners, which makes it accessible to all budgets, and elders footballers or some who had the same dreams at their young ages, easily understand the enthusiasm that drives children and put themselves at their disposal to train, accompany, or follow them in their dream of future stars of soccer in the absence of specialized coaching centers.

On Wednesday afternoons, Saturdays or Sundays, everywhere in Lomé in the Togolese capital, children invest in playgrounds to practice their heart sport, without distinction of ethnic, social class or religion. Apart from school classes, football pitches are the best places to find children from 5 to 17 years old.

Fly for Life and Earth Guardians have understood this and have developed the program called EDUBALL, launched on September 3rd in Agoe Anokui, in the northern part of Lome. This program not only consists in educating and raising awareness of these hundreds of children who are passionate about football on climate change issues and the protection of the environment, but also to follow them in their school curriculum and to help the most vulnerable to have the courage, the strength and the means necessary to go to school and flourish. While it is certain that not all children will become professional soccer players, the king of sport conveys values such as solidarity, teamwork, courage, tolerance, love and fair play, which are among the values of Earth Guardians, and also the values that children need for a future engaged generation and a better world.

During this program, Earth Guardians and Fly for Life will provide children's sports equipment such as footballs, jerseys, vests and tackles to make every football lover an Earth Guardians ambassador for protection of the environment and also help him succeed in his school curriculum at school. The choice of these children was not a coincidence. Indeed, the children practicing the football use water in the plastic bags commonly called "Pure water", these bags are generally found in the environment and are not monitored. They find themselves in the rills on the beaches, in the ocean and are actors of many evils on which our ambassadors will be trained and equipped to fight them effectively.

The expression EDUBALL is a contraction of "education" and "football" to mean an education through football.
