10,000 Trees Project

My name is Darwin, and my Earth Guardians project is to plant 10,000 trees and start 100 community/school gardens. The reason for this is for reforestation purposes in areas impacted negatively by deforestation and to fight climate change. We plan to plant 10,000 trees in all parts of Zambia! We also are helping families exposed to poverty by COVID19 to plant gardens to enable them to have access to nutritious food.

We launched our initiative of tree planting in November 2020, where we planted 200 trees with great support from Earth Guardians and other people in the United States who also contributed funds towards the project. The launch was graced by the Ministry of Education Officials who also participated in the tree planting as well as Teachers, Students and people from the community .

As an avid Climate and Environmental Activist, I was prompted to apply to Earth Guardians to start a new crew in Zambia, and so thankful when I was approved to start a crew which is Earth Guardians Zambia.
