We have helped develop young people into strong, effective, and compassionate leaders through leadership summits, global crew calls, and training programs. Take a peak at some of our previous trainings below:
Past Leadership Trainings
Regional Crew CouNcil Training 2021
Earth Guardians has 8 Regional Crew Council Members located in global regions including East Africa, West Africa, Mexico, Germany, Japan, Brazil, USA and India. These incredible young leaders bring together crews in their region to work on local campaigns and projects in their communities. From beach clean-ups, to tree planting, to permaculture trainings and educating young children in schools, our RCCs are doing the work. This training brought them all together so that they could learn from each other, as well as equipped them with skills and tools to enhance their leadership skills and amplify their impact.
Crew Leadership Training 2021
EG brought together 20 U.S.-based Crew leaders to strengthen their skills and provided them with tools to be impactful leaders in the climate justice movement. With an aim to connect and unify our U.S. crews and campaigns, this training specifically focused on the intersection of environmental and social justice. We provided courses on leadership skills, project management, coalition building, and how to implement regenerative solutions. Participants included youth leaders ages 15-25, and was facilitated by Crew leads, EG youth staff, and adult mentors.
Online Decolonize Leadership Training
July 24, 2020 - July 26, 2020
This training addressed the intersectionality between systematic racism and the environmental crisis. Trainees learned how they are connected and can take action with our voices, votes, and communities. Dismantling white supremacy and capitalization of race is essential for change. In order to unlearn the conditions of our society we have to connect, create, and heal together. This training provided a space to process grief, grow our capacity to feel and understand our stories, and created a new vision for what’s to come.
Online Indigenous Youth Leadership Training
July 6, 2020 - August 6, 2020
6:00 - 7:30 PM MST (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday)
This virtual month long training brought together 40+ North American Indigenous Youth leaders to learn from Indigenous mentors and experts in the fields of digital media/storytelling, food sovereignty, political sovereignty, outdoor survival skills, decolonize community care, and campaign development.
